Exaudi

It was in a dark November night. Icy winds blew through the old gothic church. Three men, wrapped in dark cloaks, sat together and discussed vividly. That night brought about many changes...

...Exaudi came into existence, at first with only three members (guitar, bass, keyboard).
Because no drummer had been found yet, a drum computer had to serve the purpose. But the drummer wasn't long in coming...
As absolute beginners on our instruments, a long time passed before our first live performance.
Musically speaking, at that time Exaudi were still located in the Hardrock sector, but already on our Demo 1999 the gothic and death elements couldn't be missed anymore.
In spring 2001 our Demo 2001 was released.
At this time, Exaudi had already wholeheartedly dedicated themselves to Doom/Gothic Metal. The Demo was reviewed in the Metal-Fanzine G.U.C. #18, and the opener "Die Brücke über dem Fluss" is contained on its bonus CD.
Our second EP, "Ein Stein", was released in summer 2003. That summer there were also some changes in the lineup. Thomas, our keyboarder, left the band and Tobias took his place. Furthermore, there was also a change at the microphone, Virginie switched place with Sylvia. Only a few weeks after the lineup changes the band several times performed life with their new members...

What does the press say?

...Lighted candles and a shining cross turned the stage into a small chapel. In contrast to the reverent background, Exaudi's music came across rather heavy. Slow, doomy passages alternated with heavy drumming... (Local newspaper after our gig in Gunzen / April 2000)
