Drottnar is simply bizarre; orthodox bedlam skillfully crafted through cutting- edge unorthodoxy. The innovative and original, yet true-to-its-origin sound injects fresh thinking into a more commonly repetitive and overworked scene.

2006 will get to know what modern black metal is all about through the coming Drottnar masterpiece. Professionally crafted at Subsonic Society (Darkthrone, Red Harvest, Susperia etc.) and geniously produced by mastermind Lars Klokkerhaug, one of the most groudbreaking albums within metal is about to bulldoze everything in its way. With arms from both the most simplistic and straight forward areas of dark rock and old school black metal, to the most intricate and metally distorted corners of absordo bunker metal, no one will ever be just in saying that this album do not deliver.

Conceived through a series of deeply vested intentions and ideals, Drottnar proudly gathered its forces throughout the late nineties. The band- members' previous relationship to Death Metal evolved in patterns of fierceness, slightly changing into a more extreme taste. As a result, the band's first promo was recorded in 1998, containing four tracks of Viking- inspired Black Metal. Staying highly underground and un- commercialized for two more years, the material was released through a full- length album in 2000.

During the same time period, Drottnar appears with an exclusive onslaught for the extreme- metal sampler "In the Shadow of Death". The track encompasses true Norwegian fury from the most primitive domains of Black Metal. In the band's sincere fashion this track also remains as a striking manifest of its year- long underground existence.

2003 experienced the wrath of "Anamorphosis". Through the previous three years, development struck the musical force, resulting in new ways of artistic creativeness. The five- headed force unleashed the utterly dark and intruding "Anamorphosis" through Momentum Scandinavia. This release is stripped down to the basics, with a strong stench of old- school Black Metal. However, through elements of progression and the unusual influences that are indeed traceable, this release will stand as an evidence of Drottnar's peculiar, rigid and perfectly revolting style.

Through the true spirit of an underground- band, Drottnar is by all means not only a studio experience, but a hard- hitting live one! Throughout the years Drottnar has more than once toured the darkest corners of the Czech Republic , Germany , and Switzerland as well as injecting the Scandinavian metal scenes with fresh, running blood. The spirit of Drottnar's remarkably harsh live imagery will never leave those scenes.
